G.M.E.D. Weather News:Dangerously hot conditions are in store for much of the West away from the immediate coast on Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure builds over the region. Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms are expected over the southern Rockies and Plains, in addition to parts of the Southeast. Expect scattered showers and mild conditions over the remainder of the East. A few showers and perhaps a thunderstorm will accompany a strong cold front passing through the Midwest, as well. High pressure heading into the Northern Plains will usher in some of the coolest weather in quite some time later this week.
